Primary STEM Challenge and Great Science Share for Schools 2026! 〰️
We are thrilled to be running the Primary STEM Challenge with the Great Science Share for Schools again in 2026! You’ll be awarded a certificate of participation for your school or pupils.
How to take part in the Great Science Share 2026
1) Receive direct feedback when you are developing your investigation using the Great Question Drop.
A simple way to gain feedback to your pupils' scientific questions and investigation plans. You can do this from October to 19th December 2025.
Within this short form you can add up to three questions and short investigation descriptions. You should be over 18 to use this form and your email address is requested so that we can provide you with some feedback to make this year's Primary STEM Challenge and Great Science Share the greatest.
2) Share your video using the Great Video Drop by uploading your Primary STEM Challenge video. You will be asked to submit your video via by 16th January 2026. All entries will be eligible to take part in the Great Science Share. We’ll showcase your video as part of blogs and communications about Malta’s engagement in GSSfS2026.

The Great Science Share for Schools 2026 campaign theme is Globally Curious, and you may wish to use this to inspire your investigation, but it is not a requirement. We encourage child-led scientific question-asking and to support this, you may wish to access:

All the GSSfS Guided Enquires feature scientists telling their stories about their career. Use these GSSfS Careers Chats from the University of Malta to inspire your pupils to find out about relatable people working in science industry and education.
PLUS download and use the Pupil Careers Chat Template to encourage your pupils to create their own.
Display - celebrate - share
The Display and Celebrate Pack provides teachers with all they need to profile the Great Science Share for Schools in their school. Banners, posters, worksheets and more help you to profile and celebrate your scientific questions, investigations and activities.
