Pupils at Hillside Primary School have answered the question, ‘Which material makes the best boat?’
They found that although card and tin foil were both very successful, after a while in the water, the card absorbed the water and went soggy. Therefore they concluded that tin foil (metal) would be the best material for making a boat as it held the most marbles without sinking, didn't absorb water (so is waterproof) and maintained its shape the best.
Great work everyone!
