We hope you all had loads of fun!
Pupils from Alexandra Park Primary School have been flying paper planes! The students investigated which materials make the best paper planes, and then flew them in the hall.
They found out that some materials were too light to fly well, while others were too heavy to fly at all! They needed paper / card material which was somewhere in the middle like sugar paper to fly the best! It was easy to fold and light enough to fly a long way.
Great experiment!
Great work from pupils from Howes Primary School who have been learning all about light.
They used a simple glass and light to learn about reflection and refraction and how light travels at different speeds in water.
Great work!
Toby, from Rocklands Primary School, made a great discovery on his nature walk…
He found a bush that was covered in caterpillar nests! He did some investigating and found out that they were actually spindle ermine moths.

What fun things have you been finding on your nature scavenger hunts?
One pupil from St Paul’s in Adlington, spotted some great things when out on her nature walk.
She found a tree stump that must be hundreds of years old, a butterful and a tree that had fallen down.
Great work!
Marvellous Marthy took a closer look at all of the leaves around her.
She noticed that most have veins that run off to the edges but found one that has them going straight up work.
Great investigation skills Marthy!
Dylan, Spencer and Lucas, from Frimley Juniors, have been busy. They’ve been on a scavenger hunt!
They managed to find so many different things and we love that they’ve been able to identify which tree all of the leaves have come from.
Great work all!
