Kian was inspired by the Falcon 2 and decided to make his own rocket!
Awesome work Kian!
Kian was inspired by the Falcon 2 and decided to make his own rocket!
Awesome work Kian!
Thank you Kian for sharing your science with us!
Great to see everything that you’ve been up to!
Jayden, from Burlington Juniors, wanted to find out more about apples so conducted his own investigation.
Did you know there’s over 7500 types of apples?! How crazy!
Pupils from Burlington Juniors have been connecting with nature and rediscovering the learning area. Lots of frogs and insects were found.
Looks like fun!
Wow - great science from the pupils at Burlington Juniors! They’ve been investigating energy and wind power.
Look exciting!
Kieran from Brediland School got involved by conducting his own egg science project!
Awesome job!
Wow - what great pictures from Boghall Primary School’s Bug Hunt Winner!
Great job!
Jovani loved getting involved with the Great Science Share!
Great work - see you next year!
Wow - look at this great video by all of the pupils at Ysgol Pencae!
We love their creativity and enthusiasm - it really is what The Great Science Share is all about!
Great work to everyone involved - you’re all science superstars!
Freya wanted to find out what seeds need to grow? So she conducted her own experiment!
She put them in different areas with full sun, shade and no sunlight and found that sunlight is important but too much actually killed them!
Great job, Freya!
Alfie has conducted his own research into how exercise effects your heart rate. He has written up his results in this bar chart.
What do you think of his results - do they fit your own hypothesis?
Jacob explored how to make a light bulb work using a equipment from the curiosity boxes provided through Science Across the City.
Jacob found out that the light bulb only worked when the circuit was complete. Jacob was very excited to find that the bulb grew hot if it the circuit was connected for too long. He then tested how long it too to heat up!
Awesome work, Jacob!
Esmae and Lottie explored their school environment to find science. They found out that science is all around us such as: animals, plants and trees, rocks, equipment.
Great job girls!
Alanna, from St Maria Goretti, investigated electricity and found out that the batteries have to be placed in the holder a certain way or it doesn't work.
She explored using a range of wires, batteries and bulbs to create a circuit which lit up a bulb and found that only 2 wires and 1 bulb were needed.
Jamie, Harry and Lucy, from St Maria Goretti in Stoke, had loads of fun with their Curiosity boxes!
Thanks for sending in your pictures everyone and for being part of The Great Science Share 2020!
Wow - aren’t these pictures from Ben amazing?
He’s taken some caterpillars and watched them grow into a beautiful butterfly!
Amazing work , Ben.
Yousef, from St Anne’s RC Primary, has been investigating all things space by looking at the solar system!
He investigated why is the sun so hot and found out that water vapour and atmosphere kind of balance and then that makes the earth’s ground hot and the ocean warm.
Great job Yousef!
Roy goes to Winton Primary School and has shared with us all of the science that he has been up to! He’s been investigating, ‘what is the effect of light on seeds grown in the dark and in the light?’
Thanks for sending in your great experiment Roy. We hope you’ve had lots of fun learning about plants and how they grow!
Pupils at Peel Primary have been learning all about what it means to be ‘streamlined’. They’ve conducted an experiment all about streamlining using a spatula and water - simple things we all have at home!
Why not follow these instructions and ou can try it out at home too!
Owen has been creative and has set up a zip wire for his Teddy. He’s used science to test what gradient and materials worked best!
We hope that Teddy enjoyed being part of the experiment!
