Developed with support from the Wellcome Genome Campus’ Connecting Science Public Engagement team, this collection of eight CREST SuperStar activities allows children to explore the impact of DNA, genes and genomes, supporting them to make connections with themselves and their everyday lives.
7-11 years
Duration: 45-60 minutes per activity
Once children have completed at least six one-hour SuperStar challenges, they will have earned a SuperStar CREST Award.
CREST is the British Science Association’s education programme, bringing STEM to life for young people. Through hands-on activities, CREST helps pupils spark curiosity, build confidence, unlock potential, develop skills, and gain recognition. All CREST resources are free to download and use. Once they have completed their projects, pupils can receive a CREST Award certificate to celebrate their achievement.
