This hands-on, enquiry-based project challenges students to find a real solution to a global problem. Stop the Spread encourages young people to explore hygiene as a way of reducing the spread of infectious diseases. Students work in small teams over five hours, making real-world connections as they build a model of a hand washing device and produce education materials suitable for primary school children in Kenya.
